Collaboration is currently seeking any,
Competent and high calibre individual with the described qualifications to apply for the Procurement Manager position
This person will have the following duties
and responsibilities:
Responsible for the procurement of supplies through the development and implementation of strategic supply plans and the management of supplier relationship to improve purchasing transactions within the
established project specified time frame.
Other areas of responsibility will include price negotiation. planning, inventory control, and quality control.
Negotiating and Administration of purchasing contracts and service agreements
Effective proactive liaison with user departments as necessary to forecast, and determine re-order levels
Outsourcing strategy/development management and payment negotiation
Documented and updated records on procurement activities, plans and Disposal.
Ensure effective contract implementation and delivery within contract specified timelines.
Responsible for ensuring that orders are procured and available 10 the end users within the established project specified time frame.
Solicit for quotations for the project's supplies! equipment requirements both locally and internationally including Internet searches.
Establish and or renew maintenance contracts for all the project equipment and ensure that these contracts are timely implemented.
Ensure that disposal procedures for equipment are followed.
Compile and maintain approved suppliers' log for both local and foreign suppliers.
Generate timely management reports for purchases, issues and balances of each stock item and any reports as required by management.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Candidate must possess at least Bachelors
Degree or its equivalent in Procurement,
Supply and Logistics from a reputable institution of high learning
A recognized professional qualification like CIPS
At least a minimum of 4-5 years' working experience in Procurement, Stores and logistics, preferably in a health related Research Organization
Demonstrated experience in the procurement of laboratory supplies and technical medical equipment will have an added advantage.
knowledge of supplies/stock management software especially Microsoft Dynamics NAVISION will be an added advantage.
Skills and experience in procurement & Supply chain management
Possess efficient managerial skills, analytical skills, have good negotiating skills and ha good information about the product service
Able to work independently, demonstrating good judgment
Excellent communication and computer skills
Good interpersonal relationships
Highly organized, detail-oriented and self motivated.
Ability to handle multiple tasks Simultaneously.
Ability to work on own initiative.
Following qualifications and experience; a Diploma in Procurement & Supply Chain Management and/or a profession,
qualification like CIPS would be an added advantage.
