only be achieved working with the private sector and regulatory authorities to deliver desirable products and services at affordable prices. This will require innovative and creative thinking and the confidence to do things differently. We strive to continually improve, to experiment with
promising new ideas, and to leverage resources to multiply our impact.
Water For People has been present in Uganda since 2008. The program is reaching a very interesting and exciting stage and we are now looking for the right person to drive it forward and manage the transformation. Applicants should hold an MBA (or similar) and demonstrate
drive and experience in business development. Having experience with the concept of "Making Markets Work for the poor" is a big advantage.
Position Objective:
The Country Director - Uganda is responsible for managing and supervising all activities of the organization in Uganda. S/he will be in charge of the projects and programs in Uganda, both at the national and local level. S/he will also serve as the representative of the organization in the country. S/he has to develop an effective country strategy based on Water For People Global Strategy. developing and growing water supply and sanitation entrepreneurs, and creating the environment in which they can flourish. S/he will work in collaboration with the Regional
Manager - Africa, other Water For People country directors and the Government of Uganda.
