Technical Process Specialist - Beneficiary Selection and Resettlement (ECAP - Haiti) -


HABITAT FOR HUMANITY INTERNATIONAL (HFHI) is currently recruiting a motivated individual to support the Emergency Capacity Assistance Program as a Technical Process Specialist - Beneficiary Selection and Resettlement. Habitat for Humanity's Emergency Capacity Assistance Program (ECAP) is funded by USAID. The program assists the Haitian national government, municipalities, community leadership and partner organizations to develop key capacities related to shelter and settlements issues.
Reporting to the Director of Programs (Haiti Disaster Response), the Technical Process Specialist - Beneficiary Selection and Resettlement is a key player in the development of beneficiary and resettlement policy and processes. This individual works closely with municipalities, national government and international partners in support of implementation of Habitat for Humanity International's recovery and reconstruction strategy in Haiti.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Lead, coordinate and develop a beneficiary selection and resettlement process with international, national partners and guide municipalities on implementation *Liaise, communicate and work closely with Habitat for Humanity International sub-award partner, DIG, and closely coordinate field municipality interactions and information sessions *Act as point of contact for beneficiary and resettlement processes and ensure proper functioning of the program within organizational policies *Point of contact in Haiti for selection of Habitat's Resident Advisors, liaising with sub-grantee and government of Haiti as necessary *Provide bi-weekly and quarterly reports to stakeholders as required *Oversee budgetary constraints and ensure that they are properly monitored and documented *Assist in compiling overall analysis and dissemination of lessons learned
REQUIREMENTS:
*Bachelor’s degree *5+ years’ international development experience, including developing processes and/or managing community-based programming, mitigation, preparedness and disaster response programs in a multinational environment *Fluent in English *Fluency in either French or Creole strongly preferred *Experience developing and implementing policies *Experience building alliances and partnerships internationally, preferred experience nurturing relationships with major donors *Ability to communicate in a culturally sensitive manner *Excellent communication skills
