Stanbic Bank Uganda Limited is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified candidate to fill the following vacancy in the Information Technology (In Department.
Manager, Infrastructure (1 Position)
This is a managerial position at SBG 12 reporting to the Head, Information Technology. The Manager,
Infrastructure will be in charge of all the specified IT infrastructure and telecommunications support functions in liaison with the Head of IT.
Key accountabilities will include:
Managing the planning, implementation, maintenance and optimization of IT infrastructure equipment and projects
Managing liaison with service providers for the provision of IT infrastructure support, according to drawn up service level agreements
IT software and hardware licensing management.
Setting specifications for IT infrastructure equipment according to the requirements of the bank's applications
Manage the process of procurement, quality assurance, setup, commission, operation, maintenance, optimization, inventory,
decommission and disposal of IT infrastructure equipment
Manage the technical support for all existing
IT infrastructure and communications systems.
Manage the monitoring and adjustment of capacity on the entire IT hardware and communications infrastructure
Manage and motivate all direct reports, ensuring optimum output from them, and guiding their career development within the organisation
Managing and controlling change for IT infrastructure systems and supporting users through the change
Ideal candidate profile:
University degree in IT/Computer
Engineering/Communications Engineering
Very good knowledge of Internet security, Cisco security, networking and inter networking security
Certification (MCSE, CCNA, CCNP etc)
Very good knowledge of Unix AIX skills, knowledge of IBM AIX 5L System administration, virtualisation, and Oracle database administration on AIX
Leadership and management skills People management skills
Strong negotiation and conflict management skills. Good knowledge of general banking practices and procedures
