Save the Children UK is looking to fill the following positions in the sub regional office in Nairobi Kenya:
Regional Roving Logistics Manager
East and Southern Africa, Based in Nairobi
The Roving Logistics Manager is there to assist the Regional Logistics Manager to improve the capacity of logistics across programmes within the region.
The TOR (terms of reference) for deployment to countries will be designed by the countries and reviewed by the Regional Logistics Manager.
Requirements:
Extensive overseas experience working in Logistics for International Humanitarian organisations.
At least 3 years experience in overall Co-ordination of Logistics in Emergency settings.
Skilled in supply chain and warehouse management, with direct experience of designing and implementing logistics systems and procedures for international organisations during emergencies
Technical and practical knowledge in set-up and management of satellite and Radio communications networks, Vehicle fleet management and managing power supply.
Experience working with large institutional donors and being familiar with their rules and regulations.
Experience providing practical and technical logistics support to Programme teams in the form of programme planning and preparation and management of budgets
