PCP Uganda Ltd (www.pearlcapital.net) is a wholly owned Uganda-resident subsidiary of Pearl
Capital Partners, a Mauritius registered Fund Manager. We manage private equity funds which invest in small and medium-sized growing businesses, transforming them into significant and sustainable entities delivering consistent growth and positive financial and social returns. Our
vision is to create an environment in which entrepreneurs are able to source long term capital for expansion, thereby accelerating economic development in the region.
We began operations in 2005 through African Agricultural Capital Ltd, a $9 million fund which is now fully invested. In 2010 we launched the African Seed Investment Fund; a $12' million fund,
and we expect to close a new $25 million Fund within the next month. Operating in the East Africa region, our specialty is investing in agriculture-related businesses, supporting scale-up, access to new markets, access to leveraged capital and delivery of sustainable social returns.
We are now looking for quality and experienced managers to strengthen our Investment team and position ourselves for future growth. While qualifications are important, relevant experience
and personal attributes are our highest consideration: we need determined, energetic and tenacious people who are able to work with our investee companies to support and add value to
business growth. The positions available are:
Two (2) Investment Managers (full time): You will be expected to generate deals in your assigned sector, carry out due diligence, conducts financial analysis and prepares investment proposals for the Investment Committee, and thereafter manage the investment till exit.
Senior Investment Manager (full time). In addition to the above, you will have senior level managerial experience in agribusiness in the region and will focus on delivering
post-investment business development support to our investees.
Structuring Expert. This is a short term contract of six months to a year with the objective of building our professional capacity in investment negotiation, structuring and deal execution
in order to support the successful deployment and recovery of the investment funds. (NB:
we are open to consultancy proposals for this role)
All these positions will be based in our Kampala office with travel throughout the region.
