Title :Senior Accountant
Reports to: Chief Accountant
Key Responsibilities:
Establish, maintain and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures
Maintain the hospital's asset register
Maintain all debtors' and creditors' ledger accounts
ensuring timely recovery of debts and settlement of creditors' balances
Review the accuracy of the payroll and ensure correct entries are posted monthly
Prepare the hospital monthly management
accounts, cash flow statements and quarterly budget performance reports for management review advising on income and expenditure trends with
recommendations to management
Maintain cash books and do monthly bank reconciliation of all bank accounts
Prepare the hospital's annual budget for Management and Board approval
Supervise, motivate and appraise staff under you
Interact with internal and external auditors during the execution of audits
Requirements:
Bachelors degree (honours) in Commerce or Business
Administration, majoring in accounting, from a recognized university and/or ACCA or CPA
At least two years post qualification experience in a busy Finance Department of a reputable organisation.
Good computer knowledge and prior use of
accounting/business management software (specifically an ERP)
Good communication skills, organization skills,
interpersonal skills and a team player
Age limit of 28 - 45 years
